nor(DEV):con attracted over 400 people to the The King’s Centre in Norwich this year, for three packed days of international speakers, workshops and tech talks. The first day was full of workshops and the final two days hosted talks and presentations from a variety of speakers.
Our very own Senior Architect, Richard Astbury took centre stage as keynote speaker on Saturday 27th February with a talk entitled “The State of the Art”. Richard demonstrated four programming languages from the 1970s, demonstrating many powerful features pioneered 40 years ago, which mainstream languages today don’t have. The conference was a lot of fun! Demonstrating programming languages live on stage is always a risk, but I think people enjoyed learning about the technology landscape, as it was in 1976. – Richard Astbury Plans for the 2017 conference are already underway with the addition of a dedicated schools’ day. Dates have been announced from Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th February 2017. Keep an eye on the nor(DEV):con website, or follow them on twitter to be kept up to date. Comments are closed.
