The Nova Group is committed to providing a great place to work by creating a culture of diversity, inclusion and equality.
Launching in Australia, the Work180 platform will promote the Nova Group by sharing stories of women in Nova and showcasing job vacancies, creating significant opportunity to attract and retain talented women to Nova.
Work180 provides job applicants with a transparent directory of endorsed employers who support diversity, inclusion and equality and share information around pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other important criteria.
The Nova Group aims to expand the Work180 partnership internationally in the future as our business continues to grow. While Work180's focus is on empowering women in the workplace, Work180 is trying to achieve equality for all employees.
Our mission is to finally put an end to workplace discrimination, so that everyone is valued equally and businesses can enjoy the benefits of a truly diverse workforce. As the demand for skilled employees grows ever more critical, there has been a power shift away from unsympathetic employers and a rejection of inflexible working conditions. As part of the research it surveyed over 60,000 Australian employees from 160 companies between May 2017 and May 2018. Each company participating in the study earns a score based on two factors. Two-thirds of the score comes from employee responses to a 58-statement survey. The remaining one-third comes from its evaluation of the company’s policies and procedures in nine specific practice areas.
On receiving the news that Nova Group has once again been recognised as one of the best places to work in Australia, Nova Group CEO, Greg Hume said, “I am proud and honoured to lead a company focused on continuing to evolve our employee value proposition through initiatives aimed at providing a flexible and supportive work environment. Achieving a ranking within the Top 50 is testament to the commitment of our people to provide a culture of inclusivity and diversity and who uphold Nova’s values.”

We've been working with Ascom to develop a Wide Area Duress solution that provides an effective way for healthcare staff to raise an alert in a dangerous situation
Ascom Myco along with two10degrees’ GAP Guardian application is a Wide Area Duress solution that provides an effective way to raise an alert in a dangerous situation or personal threat to healthcare staff.
Violence against healthcare workers is on the rise, until now, mechanisms to protect them remain inadequate . Healthcare professionals are often at risk when they care for patients; with safety and security further compromised where patient interaction is outside of the hospital environment. Ascom has a long, proud history of providing wireless duress systems to healthcare facilities across Australia and currently has over 200 systems deployed. The partnership with two10degrees and the integration of their GAP Guardian lone worker application on the Ascom Myco™ has extended the functionality by extending coverage outside facilities to the community at large.
Two10degrees pride themselves on building and integrating innovative software, hardware and communication solutions that help organisations around the world improve safety, manage risk and improve productivity. The Global Alerting Platform (GAP) is a cloud-based communications platform for building and integrating satellite, cellular and IoT messaging applications that connect, protect and monitor workforces and assets.
The two10degrees lone worker application on the Ascom Myco™ offers an emergency alert solution for healthcare workers in the community. Enabling wide-area mobile duress functionality with configurable motion detection, GPS tracking, threaded message exchange and voice for check-in, the two10degrees application is now part of Ascom’s technology partner family natively integrated into the Ascom Myco™.
"Partnerships between companies that produce complementary technologies are particularly beneficial to the healthcare community. We at two10degrees are proud to join forces with Ascom and deliver a solution that not only provides that extra level security to staff but makes them feel safe and protected”
Paul Weiss, Director of Business Development and Alliances at two10degrees.
“When looking at a prevention plan and ensuring the security of your staff we believe that reliability and consistency are essential. Additionally, we believe fit-for-purpose handsets that can raise multiple types of alarms are extremely beneficial. Our combined offering will deliver a personal alarm device that is fit-for-purpose with coordinated emergency response, location accuracy, and post-incident reporting.”
Feargal O’Farrell, Managing Director at Ascom Integrated Wireless
