Intelligent Remote Asset Management System (iRAMS) and Planned Maintenance System (PMS) software to be installed across Iceni Marine Services fleet of vesselsIceni Marine Services have awarded a contract to two10degrees’ partner AST Marine Sciences Ltd for the installation of their 2nd generation iRAMS and AST-Planned Maintenance software across Iceni’s fleet of vessels.
Powered by two10degrees’ Global Alerting Platform (GAP), iRAMS is a ground-breaking, cost-effective and proven vessel engine and asset monitoring system. Real time data is captured from the vessel’s engine management systems and other onboard sensors. This data is then encoded and sent via satellite and GSM networks to the GAP using an optimised M2M communications protocol. Through a simple web interface, vessel operators have access to vessel data in near real-time, allowing them to make key decisions without delay. The AST-Planned Maintenance System is a powerful vessel organisational software tool. Developed by Marine Engineers, the system enables crews to monitor all the necessary equipment checks and servicing. AST and two10degrees have integrated iRAMS with the Planned Maintenance System for a combined solution. “Iceni is pleased to confirm we are working with AST Marine Sciences Ltd to install the combined iRAMS and AST-Planned Maintenance System, which has been tailored specifically for the Iceni fleet to improve productivity and efficiency. In a competitive and increasingly regulatory environment, Iceni are constantly striving for improved operational reporting and fuel efficiencies for our clients. This new combined solution automatically populates engine management data directly into the AST-Planned Maintenance System, remotely, providing shoreside alerts in near real time to prevent unplanned vessel downtime and improve our fleet operational effectiveness.” – Owen Nutt, Operations Manager, Iceni “Iceni’s relentless demand to improve their vessel operational efficiency through embracing new technology has assisted MSL enormously in tailoring this new iRAMS and integrated PMS solution. Iceni is now able to offer their clients the benefits of increased performance gains from fuel efficiencies, automation and predictive and planned vessel maintenance.” – Michael Montgomery, Business Development Manager, AST Marine Sciences Ltd “This is great example of a how satellite & terrestrial communications can be combined to provide a smart M2M solution that can really add business value. We are delighted to be working with such highly respected clients.” – Richard Prodger, Technical Director, two10degrees Ltd Comments are closed.
