This Easter, David Crawford, of the University of Essex, along with 30 other trekkers including Classic FM presenter John Suchet, will be trekking through the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of up to 4,600 metres above sea level to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise Campaign.
“two10degrees has worked on many collaborative research projects with David and the University of Essex over the years and when we found out that he was taking part in this expedition (as part of his retirement bucket list), we of course wanted to support him in every way possible. We have given David an inReach Explorer+ and access to our Global Alerting Platform (GAP) so that his friends, family and supporters can monitor his progress. It will also hopefully encourage Classic FM listeners to make further donations too!”

The trek is being organised by Global Media, home to some of the UK’s best-loved radio stations such as Heart, Capital and Classic FM. Global’s Make Some Noise campaign supports a number of brilliant, small charities, which help youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity, you can find out more here: http://www.makesomenoise.com/
“I want to attack my bucket list and do something useful (for a change!). I'm impressed by the work of Global's Make Some Noise and wanted to support them.”
